Kapuru is an end-to-end AI shopping companion for Sri Lankan shoppers. It turns natural voice, text, and image requests into live Kapruka catalog search, product comparison, cart management, delivery validation, and checkout preparation across English, Sinhala, Singlish, Tamil, and mixed-language conversations.

What I did

  1. 01

    Built an agentic shopping workflow that uses the Kapruka MCP Server for live catalog search, delivery checks, cart management, and order creation.

  2. 02

    Integrated real-time voice experiences with OpenAI Realtime and Google Gemini Live, supported by transcription and text-to-speech services.

  3. 03

    Designed memory retrieval with OpenAI embeddings, pgvector, and Supabase PostgreSQL so returning shoppers can reuse recipients, budgets, delivery locations, preferences, and occasions.

  4. 04

    Implemented secure application flows with Zod validation, Supabase Auth, Row Level Security, anonymous guest sessions, and Supabase Storage for image uploads.

  5. 05

    Deployed a tested production application on Vercel with WebSocket voice streaming, Playwright end-to-end tests, analytics, and speed insights.
